During the period when India attained independence, Arambagh and its surroundings were a backward area, particularly in the field of formal education. Now-a-days this area has advanced a lot in this field. It has not happened automatically. it is the result of a prolonged and painstaking effort of many great leaders and social workers. Among them the name of Dr. Radha Krishna Pal comes uppermost to the mind, he founded many educational institutions, one of which is Netaji Mahavidyalaya
Ensuring simultaneous development of infrastructure and quality in the spheres of teaching-learning, research and extension, culture, sports and games and other activities of the college
Reaching global standards in the said spheres by introducing post-graduate courses, developing national and international and linkage particularly at the level of research and publications and tie-up with industries and other concerns
Striking a balance between the scientific and technological development in the said spheres and in the spheres of indigenous culture and heritage and thereby producing an ideal citizen of the nation as well as of the world
