Courses Offered at Netaji Mahavidyalaya
The college has 22 under-graduate departments under Science, Arts and Commerce faculty offering both Honours and General courses for study.
i) Science faculty -
The faculty offers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science & Economics for studies in both Honours and General courses and Plant Protection and Electronics for studies in General courses only.
ii) Arts faculty -
It offers Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Education, Philosophy, Economics, History, Political Science, Santhali Physical Education Mathematics and Geography for studies in Honours/ General courses.
iii) Commerce faculty - Apart from Accountancy (Hons), Business Administration (BBA), the students have opportunity of selecting relevant subjects in General Course.
iv) Vocational Course
Office Management & Secretarial Practice and Communicative English are offered to students of B.A. & B.Com General courses. Combination English is obligatory for the students of Functional English.
Apart from these the college has also the provision for post-graduate course in Bengali.
New Subjects
The College is fast gearing itself up to meet the challanges of education. Keeping this in view, it has started running Honours courses in Environmental Science since 2005 and Computer Science since 2007. In 2008, The College introduced Honours Course in Education and General courses in Santhali and Electronics. Santhali was upgraded to Honours course in the year 2009. Physical Education has also been introduced from the 2009-2010 academic session. These subjects would definitely cater to the growing needs of the locality to ensure job opportunities. The College has also introduced BBA program in the session 2010 - 2011.
