Overview

The department has three full time teachers. Each of them is sincere, hard working and dedicated to their profession. They complete the syllabus smoothly and maintain a high academic standard.

The department has a Seminar library with one Computer.

The department also shares the stock of books on economics in general Library.

Moreover the department makes continuous effort to improve the learning resources through computers and CDs etc.

The department follows modern teaching methods in practice other than the lecture method like:-

1. Arranging interaction session in the class
2. Counseling outside the class
3. Encouraging the advance students to write answers on their own on the basis of class lectures and books referred and correcting them

Academic counseling is also done by teachers in the form of:-

1. Referring books, journals etc. with suggestions for improvement
2. Correcting the notes prepared by students with suggestion for improvement
3. Encouraging the students in preparing standard notes etc.
4. Offering further clarifications about the different points of the subject outside the class.

Personal counseling is given in the form of career counseling and offering personal suggestions to the students.

Class tests (verbal or written) and test examinations are arranged on scheduled time for continuous assessment of students.

Students after completing their studies seek admission for higher studies like post graduate course of different universities, MBA courses of different institutions. Later on they are placed in different academic and administrative jobs.
