Overview
The three year Honors course in education was first introduced in the college in 2008.
Library
The department has a well-equipped library. The students can borrow books from this departmental library. The library is open from Monday to Friday. Books may be borrowed or returned on those days.
Activities
Seminar, Group Discussion & Quiz
Seminar, Group Discussion & Quiz Session etc. form integral part of the students’ activities. All the students of the department participate in such programs.
Magazines
The departmental magazine is published once in a session. The name of the magazine is “SUCHANA” in addition to this, a wall magazine named “ANKUR” is also published every year by the department. The students and the staff of the department contribute articles in it.
Educational Excursion
In every academic year, the department organizes an educational excursion as a part of the curriculum. A one-day excursion to Santiniketan was arranged by the department in January 2011. The excursion was successfully arranged with the help of the students and staff of the department.
Evaluation of the progress of students
In order to assess how the young learners pace with the academic activities of the college, class tests at regular intervals are held. It is compulsory for all the students to attain all the class tests. In this connection it has to be noted that the results of the students in the University Examinations are satisfactory.
