Brief history
Department of Plant Protection at the Degree level was started in the academic session 1986-1987 under the approval and financial assistance of UGC and Burdwan University with only twenty (20) students. With the increasing demand of education and due to the ever changing scientific agricultural practice, now the number of students in the department has grown remarkably. Students who have passed at degree level with plant protection subject since 1988 are available to get involved in better scientific agricultural practice which results in the increase of better crop and vegetable production of our locality as well as our country.
